Lashauna Burton, MSc, BSc (Hons)
Reporting to the Group Executive – Risk and Compliance, Lashauna Burton will be
accountable for the oversight, design, build and monitoring of all risk related
policies, frameworks and reports created for the entities in the FHC. She will work
with the team leads of Financial Risk to continually enhance reporting to ensure
that current status and forecasting is completed with the key risks for each entity.
Ms Burton previously worked at the Bank of Jamaica as Senior Bank Examiner in
the Financial Institution Supervisory Division. She was responsible to conduct
assessment of institutional risk profiles by analysing the linkages between the
macro economy, industry, as well as the business profile of various institutions.
Other positions held while at BOJ include Bank Examiner and Statistics Officer.
She holds a Bachelors degree in Banking and Finance (First Class Honours) and a
Masters degree in Enterprise Risk Management with Distinction – both from the
University of the West Indies, Mona Campus. She has also earned professional
certifications from the Association of Supervisors of Banks of America (ASBA),
Federal Reserve System and Caribbean Group of Banking Supervisors (CGBS) and
Financial Stability Institute at the Bank for International Settlements, to name a
few.
