With over 20 years of expertise in the financial and accounting industry, Davia Brown was appointed Executive – Group Accounting and Financial Reporting for the JN Financial Group in January 2022. In this role, she is responsible to review and provide oversight on all aspects of financial control within the member companies of the JN Financial Group. She is tasked with ensuring that all required financial reports are completed within the required deadline, analysis of financial data and providing financial and strategic support to the companies within the Group.
A respected leader and team player, she is sought out for her extensive knowledge of team management, keen eye for details, exemplary organisational skills and proven competency in the areas of financial accounting, regulatory reporting, auditing and life insurance.
Ms Brown joined the Jamaica National Building Society team in 2007 as Finance Manager, leading the Regulatory Reporting and Accounts Payable Unit. Up to 2012, her responsibilities included leading the General Ledger and Reconciliation Unit and supervision of the Subsidiaries and Treasury Operations Units. She separated from the Society in 2012 and later rejoined the JN family in 2013 as Finance and Investment Manager at JN Life Insurance, where she was promoted to Senior Manager in 2016 and in 2019 was appointed Assistant General Manager & Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
