An accomplished strategy, business analysis, and project management professional, Annissa Thompson was appointed Executive, Strategy Management at the Jamaica National Group in May 2023. She is responsible for corporate and strategic planning while fostering collaborative relationships across departments and companies across the Group. She will collaborate closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to align strategic goals and drive effective and successful strategy execution.
She has over 20 years of experience working in the private and public sectors with a consistent track record in business and digital transformation, project/portfolio management, and business process improvement to enable efficiency, growth and deliver operational excellence.
Mrs. Thompson joined The Jamaica National Group as Senior Manager in the Enterprise Management Office (EPMO) in 2017, where she led the team to implement several strategic projects. She was appointed Associate Principal, Strategy with JN Consult in July 2022.
She previously worked at the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) on several projects related to banking supervision, financial stability, payments systems, and monetary policy and supported the development of the organization’s 2018-2020 strategic plan and the implementation of key national projects such as the Financial Institutions Reporting System, used by all deposit-taking institutions.
Mrs. Thompson holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Leicester and a BSc, in Computer Studies from The University of the West Indies. She is a certified Strategy Balance Scorecard Professional (BSP), Strategy Execution Professional (SEP), Project Manager (PMP), and Business Analyst (CBAP). She is very passionate about business analysis and is the President of the International Business Analysis Institute (IIBA) Kingston Jamaica Chapter.
