May is recognised as Child Month and JN Bank, through its Youth Banking Unit, engaged in a series of activities to celebrate our children, including making donations to assist vulnerable children and hosting financial literacy and rap sessions.
The lives of wards at the Maxfield Park Children’s Home in St Andrew were brightened on Labour Day, following a donation by JN Bank to complete finishing touches to their dormitories.
Representatives from the Bank’s Youth Banking Unit made the handover to the institution on May 12, which a grateful Nellisa Asphall, Assistant Manager of the home, said would be used to paint the children’s rooms. The donation was timely, she pointed out, as the facility had not been painted in 10 years. The home, which was founded in 1918, currently houses 45 children.
