Polmae ‘Pam’ Thompson, JN Group Executive, was recently appointed Principal of JN Consult, a new division in The Jamaica National Group, which provides strategy development, business advisory, process management, research & development and project management services.
She was previously Executive, Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) of The Jamaica National Group for four years, leading all project management initiatives, as well as development of systems, policies and procedures that promote organisational efficiency at the Group.
Mrs Thompson was Assistant General Manager, I.T. Consulting Services at Management Control Systems (MC Systems) prior to being seconded to the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) in 2009, as Senior Manager in the Enterprise Project Management Office. Under her stewardship, JNBS was twice awarded Project Management Organisation of the year. She was also awarded Project Manager of the Year by the Project Management Global Institute.
She is a seasoned Consultant, having undertaken varied internal and external consultancy roles, over the last 30 years in several sectors including: Finance & Banking, ICT, Pharmaceutical, Tourism & Hospitality and Government.
Mrs Thompson holds a BA, Economics and International Relations, The University of the West Indies and an MSc, Business Systems Analysis and Design, from City University, London.
She is a certified Project Manager (PMI), a certified member of the Institute of Management Service (IMS) and holds membership in the Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) and the Association of Information Management and Governance (ARMA).
